If in fact it shows 65, but you feel like your going 30, you can have a friend get behind you in his/her car, then when you go 65, they can tell you how fast they are going.

If you both are doing the same speed..Great…

And if not, take the vehicle to the shop for a new speedometer.

    Use cell phones to communicate.

    **hope I got it correct..

Not a great deal of information to diagnose here, but things that slow the car down especially if the gas mileage is suffering are:
    1. Oxygen Sensor needs replacing
    2. Catalytic converter clogging up or other exhaust restriction
    3. Fuel injectors need cleaning
    4. Airflow meter needs work or replacing
    5. Dragging or binding brakes

ok go to a locall gas station and buy a portable gas container the fill it up with 87 octane..
go home pour the contents of the container on the car and the throw a match on the car and go get a new car …
lol juss playin please dont take it seriously and get mad..
sounds to me is that your car needs a tune up..
wen was the last time you had your spark plugs changed?
    change the oil, oil/fuel/air filters,spark plugs,wires,cap.rotor,
    shouldnt run you too much..
    well good luck =]
