There is only one bus leaving Singapore daily for Mersing from Beach Road (about 6.30am). I cannot recall the name of the agency but you might have to make a trip to Beach Road to book personally.
I’m not sure about charges but my Rough Guide advises that you go to the Lavender Street bus terminal or Golden Mile Complex to investigate and find yourselves a ride to Mersing.
Another website I consulted suggests you ring 5 Star Coaches (+65 6294 7011) for a daily service that leaves at 6.30am. Take a look around when you get there and ask for help if you need it.
