If you’re around Klang Valley or KL, you don’t have to go all the way to Kota Tinggi. Just go to Kuala Selangor for the fireflies watching.
Go to kuala selangor and look for kampung kuantan. its about 1 hour from KL.
There are few location where you can watch fireflies beside Kota Tinggi, the others — Kampung Kuantan of Kuala selangor, Selangor and Dungun in Terengganu.
