Cheaper way: take bus #170 to Johor Bahru alight at bus terminal. There are transport services like bus, taxi for Batu Pahat and all Malaysia towns.
Transport cost higher: counters at Beach Road Golden Square do provide coach services.
Go to Woodlands Bus Interchange, take bus no.965 and go to the woodlands checkpoint.. can take cab also.. thats upto your budget.. then, enter johor bahru, jb, then from there, there are plenty of buses plying to batu pahat.. just contact 607 4137677 for bus information..
You can approach the cubicles in an open carpark at Lavender Street, opposite Singapore Casket. They have coaches making frequent trips to Muar and Batu Pahat.
